Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Tracehome. By creating an account or using Tracehome, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Refunds & Consumer Guarantees.

01Who we are
Tracehome is operated by Tooled Up Tradies (ABN 77 029 661 528), a sole trader based in Western Australia, Australia (“Tracehome”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Tracehome is a home-records service that helps you keep your property’s trade history, maintenance schedule, documents, and related information in one place, and connect with tradespeople.
02Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Tracehome. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login secure, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
03The service
Tracehome provides a free home dashboard, an optional paid plan (Tracehome Pro) where offered, and — where we enable it — tools to request and book independent tradespeople. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Some features may be unavailable in your area or while we are piloting the product.
Some information we surface about your property — including automated or AI-generated summaries, indicative job estimates, health or condition scores, and data from third-party or government sources — is generated or obtained to help you organise your home records. It may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. It is not a professional inspection, quote, valuation, or safety certification. See the disclaimers below and, for bookings, our Homeowner Booking Terms.
04Subscriptions and billing
- Tracehome Pro is billed annually in advance at the price shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). By subscribing you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method.
- Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew automatically for a further term at the then-current price. We will give you reasonable notice of any price change before it applies to you.
- You can cancel at any time; your paid features continue until the end of the current paid period. Refunds are dealt with in our Refunds & Consumer Guarantees policy.
05The marketplace and bookings
Where enabled, Tracehome lets you request and book tradespeople. Tradespeople are independent third parties, not our employees, partners in the trade work, or agents for the purpose of performing that work. Tracehome provides software and payment facilitation that connects you with tradespeople; the contract for the trade work is between you and the tradesperson.
Indicative price ranges shown before a tradesperson confirms a job may be generated by our tools (including AI). They are not a quote from us or from the tradesperson. A deposit may be taken based on a provisional figure we show you; the tradesperson must confirm (or propose a variation to) the price and scope before work proceeds, on the terms in our Homeowner Booking Terms. Any platform fee we charge for using the booking or payment features will be disclosed before you pay.
Where a booking is paid through Tracehome, funds are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and may be held and released to the tradesperson according to the booking status and those Booking Terms (an escrow-style arrangement). Holding or releasing payment does not make us the supplier of the trade work, and is not a guarantee of quality, timing, safety, or outcome. We may help pass on messages and, where funds are still held, help the parties exchange information about a dispute; we do not adjudicate workmanship claims as a tribunal and we are not responsible for the tradesperson’s work.
More detail is in our Homeowner Booking Terms and, for tradespeople, our Tradie Participation Agreement. If there is a conflict about a booking, the Booking Terms prevail over this section for that booking.
06Your content and records
You keep ownership of the documents and information you add. You grant us a licence to store, copy, process, and display that content as needed to operate Tracehome and provide the service to you and the people you share it with.
You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to upload it. If a property’s records are handed over (for example when a home is sold and you choose to transfer them), the recipient will be able to access those property records.
07Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Tracehome for anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful;
- upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes others’ rights;
- attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or probe or disrupt the service;
- scrape, copy, or resell the service or its data except as expressly permitted.
08Third-party services
Tracehome integrates with third-party services (for example ServiceM8, payment processing, and government or geospatial data sources). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services or content.
09Intellectual property
Tracehome, including its software, design, and content (other than your content), belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Tracehome in accordance with these terms.
10Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Tracehome is provided on an “as available” basis. Information we generate or obtain about a property — including council, utilities, land, or hazard data, document extractions, maintenance suggestions, composite or “health” scores, and AI-generated job summaries or cost estimates — is for general information and home-record keeping only. It may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. It is not professional, legal, financial, building, valuation, or safety advice, and you should not rely on it as the sole basis for a decision (including whether to buy, sell, insure, renovate, or engage a tradesperson). Always verify important matters independently and obtain advice from appropriately licensed professionals where needed.
11Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer under the ACL, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for the purpose we represent.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited under the ACL, then to the extent permitted by law our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the relevant services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again. Remedies for major failures and other non-excludable rights remain available as the ACL provides. See also our Refunds & Consumer Guarantees policy.
12Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above, Tracehome is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss arising from the acts or omissions of tradespeople or other third parties (including the quality, timing, safety, or outcome of trade work), or from your reliance on automated scores, estimates, or third-party property data except to the extent we cannot limit that liability by law.
Subject to the ACL section above, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of Tracehome is limited to the greater of: (a) the total fees you paid us for Tracehome in the 12 months before the claim; and (b) AUD 100. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including non-excludable ACL guarantees.
13Suspension and termination
You can stop using Tracehome and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, or where necessary to protect the service or others. On termination, the rights granted to you end, though some provisions (such as those on content licences, disclaimers, and liability) survive.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Your continued use of Tracehome after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that place. Questions? Email hello@tracehome.com.au.
