Tracehome works with AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard used by Claude, ChatGPT and others. Connect one and you can ask it about your warranties, documents and trade history from wherever you already talk to it.

Claude
Copies the address and opens Claude's connectors page in a new tab.

Copies the address and opens ChatGPT's plugins page in a new tab. Developer mode has to be on first.

01What a connected assistant can do
A connected assistant can read the records you choose when you approve the connection — any combination of appliance and warranty details, documents, and work history, for the homes you tick. If you also switch them on when connecting, it can add to those records: file a receipt or warranty into your vault, note work done on your timeline, and add items or update their details. Those switches are off unless you turn them on.
Whatever you allow, a connected assistant can never delete an item, document or work-history record, or replace a document already on record; it cannot make bookings, and cannot see homes or record types you didn’t tick. Everything it reads or adds is recorded against the property.
Every connection appears in Settings → Connected AI, where one click disconnects it, effective immediately. The same page lets you share a home you added later with a connection you already have — permissions stay exactly as you first set them. A connection also lapses on its own after 90 days without use. What an assistant’s provider does with information it reads is governed by that provider’s own terms — see section 04 of our Privacy Policy.
02Connect from Claude
In Claude’s web or desktop app, open Customize, choose Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste this address:

Claude will send you to Tracehome to sign in and approve what it may read — and, if you choose, what it may add. Once connected, try asking: “Is my hot water system still under warranty?”
03Connect from ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode under Settings, then Security and login, and open the Plugins page. Add a new one with the same address above as the MCP server URL. ChatGPT will send you to Tracehome to sign in and approve access, exactly as with Claude.
04Other assistants and tools
Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP can connect with the same address and sign-in flow — including coding tools and desktop agents. If a tool asks for a “transport”, choose streamable HTTP; if it asks about authentication, choose OAuth.
